Handmade is having a moment again — not because it’s trendy, but because we’re longing for what’s real. Things touched by another human that carrY intentioN and small imperfections that prove someone was there.

After making nearly all of my holiday gifts by hand in 2025, I was reminded how deeply people feel the difference when something is created for them, and only them.

My calligraphy and engraving work follows the same principles I bring to all of my art. Infusing intention and heart into everything I do and honoring moments (and people), that matter.

Calligraphy

Can be added to most surfaces, including glass and acrylic with oil based paint pens or with fabric pens on cotton/linen

Best For: Large number of guests. This can be done quickly.

Things to consider (for glass/acrylic surfaces): Durability depends on the material and how frequently the item is handled. Not meant for items that will be washed often with soap and water. Fabric pens are permanent.

ENgraving

Engraving can be done to almost any smooth glass/ceramic surface and some metal surfaces

Best for: Larger number of guests. There is the option to keep the blind engraving (left image) or add gold fill (right image).

Things to consider: The engraving tool produces some noise. You cannot use the gold fill on items that will be washed with soap and water.

Gold Foiling

Can be added to most leather surfaces and some fabrics

Best for: Larger number of guests. This can be done quickly.

Things to consider: Durability depends on the material and how frequently the item is handled. Some coatings don’t allow adhesion, I would prefer to test the material ahead of time. I also need access to an electrical outlet.

Begins at $350/hr

Can be done to most leather, suede and wood materials

Best for: Large number of guests. This can be done fairly quickly.

Things to consider: Certain coatings or finishes can prevent safe or effective burning. I would prefer to test the material ahead of time. I also need access to an electrical outlet.

Begins at $300/hr

Leather + Wood burning

Embroidery

CAn be added to most cotton/linen fabrics

Best for: Smaller groups of people, depending on the timeframe or multiple artists will be needed.

Things to consider: If time is an issue, there is the option to just offer initials versus a name/word.

Begins at $450/hr (for one artist), $550/hr for two

  • For smaller events, yes. Depending on the guest count I may bring a hostess and/or an additional artist.

  • Sometimes that happens! I prefer to always test the item beforehand but if that’s not an option, we can pivot and try a different technique.

  • Clients typically provide the items to be personalized, but I'm happy to help source materials that suit your event and vision! I also recommend testing items beforehand to ensure they're compatible with the chosen technique.

  • The number of guests I can accommodate depends on the technique, complexity of the design, and length of the event. Some methods are quicker than others! I'm happy to help determine the best approach for your guest count and can bring additional artists for larger events.

  • Absolutely! I'm based in Austin, Texas, and available for events throughout Texas and beyond. Travel fees may apply depending on the location.

  • I bring my tools and small lamps. From the venue I will need a table and chair (and any decor that is needed to match the aesthetic of the event). Certain techniques may require access to electricity or additional setup considerations. I'll communicate any specific needs ahead of your event.
